Season's greetings and happy holidays to everyone. I've been busy working on the last couple of chapters of Beyond the Pale, doing holiday things with the family, eating all the wrong foods and keeping all the wrong hours. I hope everyone is having a great holiday season! Best wishes for the upcoming year; may it bring you joy.

Dear Kathy,
Your blog made me smile. Must have been the pic of your cat.
I was searching for for something on the authors blog site and came across you. Our cat also has a thing for keyboards.
Although fantasy is my area, it's epic, not urban.
Keep plugging away. Never let them grind you down. Good luck.
Oh, ps...you might want to look at Rachel Vater. She's an agent in New York who likes urban. Her blog is lit agent x
Hope the cat gets well.
Geoff.

Hi Geoff,
Moonshadow's doing very well now; thanks for the good wishes. He's missing one eye and two teeth, but he's back to normal in all other respects.
I love epic fantasy. I have two manuscripts written in an epic fantasy trilogy and only about halfway to go to complete the third. The only problem is that they haven't sold yet, which is why I've made the foray into urban.
From what I understand, Rachel Vater is indeed a great agent; thanks for the suggestion. However, I already have a wonderful agent, Bob Mecoy, representing all of my manuscripts in New York. Here's hoping this newest book kicks open a few doors for us!
Good luck to you and your writing also. May the new year be a successful one for you!
Kathy
